Donnafugata Ben Rye Passito di Pantelleria 37.5 cl 2006
The colour is golden yellow with brilliant amber reflections. The bouquet is full and seductive with scents of ripe apricots and Mediterranean underbrush. In the mouth the wine is encompassing with notes of candied citrus fruit and honey. There is a delicate mineral touch in the finish with shadings that recall flint. The 2006 is an excellent expression of the terroir and of the Ben Ryé style, which is complex, pleasant and elegant. Great longevity is expected.

Pieropan Passito della Rocca (Soave, Italy) 50 cl 2003
Burnished gold in colour with translucent yellow reflections. On the nose, the wine is complex with a bouquet of acacia honey, cinnamon and hints of walnut husks. This is a very elegant wine, with flavours of dried apricots, honeyed fruit and vanilla. It also has an incredible length.

Maculan Torcolato (Veneto, Italy) 37.5 cl 2005
Made from grapes that have been dried for 4-5 months before fermentation, the colour of Torcolato - pale to golden amber - depends on the amount of bottis, which occurred that year. Torcolato has a rich spicy flavour reminiscent of baked pears. It is also possible to pick up hints of apricots, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and hazelnuts. It is a succulent, luscious dessert wine, not too sweet as a result of perfectly balanced acidity. In Italy this is considered a "wine for meditation", and therefore best drunk on its own, however, it is also excellent with cakes and fruit tarts and especially with Roquefort or other creamy blue cheeses.

Pieropan "Le Colombare" Recioto di Soave (Soave, Italy) 50 cl 2007
In early spring, the semi-dried grapes are pressed, and the resulting wine is aged in oak barrels for two years. Intense gold, almost amber coloured, delicately reminiscent of exotic fruit and apricots on the nose, its initial impression on the palate is delicately sweet, a prelude to pleasing and unexpected aromatic complexity.
